What is ORAYA SYNTHETICS
ORAYA SYNTHETICS works on synthetic embodiment: the interface between a cognitive system and the physical body through which its intentions are expressed. Our goal is to translate speech, context and intent into visible behaviour and coherent movement.
We are not trying to build the entire robot or develop the artificial intelligence model that drives it. Our technological space lies between the two: in the architecture that allows an intelligence to express itself physically through different humanoid platforms.
Synthetic embodiment
Human presence does not emerge from a single gesture or a collection of predefined movements. It arises from coordination between expression, timing, context and continuity. ORAYA researches how to build that coordination as a software layer independent of any specific hardware platform.

ORAYA Head Unit
ORAYA Head Unit is our experimental reference platform for developing and validating synthetic embodiment technologies.
It allows us to study how a software architecture can translate speech, intent and context into facial expression, coordination and physical movement on a real system.
The Head Unit is not intended as a mass-produced hardware product. It is a technology demonstrator and research platform that allows us to build, measure and validate the embodiment layer before adapting it to other humanoid systems.
PersonS
PersonS is an active ORAYA SYNTHETICS application for personal conversation, developed to operate locally and privately.
It represents one of the first public applications of our research in human–synthetic interaction. While PersonS explores the conversational and relational dimension in the digital domain, our current work extends that research into expression, movement and physical presence.
Our technological boundary
ORAYA does not aim to compete in the complete manufacture of humanoid hardware or in the development of foundation artificial intelligence models. We work on a specialised layer designed to integrate with both worlds.
Our value lies in expressive grammar, coordination and movement architecture: in how intent becomes a physical presence that is understandable, coherent and natural.
Between intelligence and body
